Box O' Books |
Fauquier County Public Library’s Box O’ Books service is a unique program designed to serve daycare, preschool and child care providers.
Facilities that have applied for an institutional library card may check out books in pre-selected customized sets, boxed for easy use and storage, and labeled for convenient return. Each box contains 50 books: including nonfiction and fiction titles for children ranging in reading level from toddler to early grade school.
For convenience, each book is labeled and numbered and a list of all items contained in the box is included to make it easy to discover if a book is missing.
Why We Include Paperbacks
Agencies participating in the Box O’ Books program must pay the replacement cost of any lost or damaged book. Because we know that accidents happen, especially with young children, paperback books have been selected to make the program more affordable should centers need to replace a lost or damaged item. Contact Public Services Manager Dawn Sowers at (540) 422-8517 for more information.
