Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office Court Security Division

The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office Court Security Division is responsible for the security of all Courts. Personnel assigned to this Division perform a variety of functions, including courtroom security, the transportation of convicted inmates and pre-trial detainees to and from court, the intake and processing of defendants remanded to custody, and the screening of persons and parcels entering the Courthouses.

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8 am – 4:30 pmALL PERSONS ENTERING THE COURTHOUSE ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH
Property not allowed in the courthouse includes all weapons as defined in the Virginia code section 18.2-308 and electronic devices defined in 19.2-266.
Prohibited items include but NOT limited to:
- Guns
- Knives
- Razors
- Tools
- Pepper Spray
- Mace
- Packages
- Umbrellas
Electronic Devices:
- Tape recorders
- Cameras
Courtroom guidelines:
- All pagers and cell phones shall be turned off.
- No food or beverages allowed.
- No chewing gum.
- Hats and sunglasses shall be removed.
- No tank tops or shorts allowed.
- You are not to enter or leave the courtroom while a case is in progress.
