Home Invasion in

Hume area

A couple in Hume, VA, in northern Fauquier County, awoke to find a man in their bedroom early Wednesday morning. Deputies responded to the home in the 12000 block of Hume Road at approximately 2:00am, Wednesday, October 16, 2013.

The couple reported being awakened by a man going through dresser drawers in their bedroom. When asked what he was doing, the man made threats to the couple and demanded money.

The man was directed to a wallet and left with an undetermined amount of cash and several commemorative coins.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’10” tall, wearing a grey or light colored hoodie and carrying a flashlight. An unknown vehicle was observed quickly leaving the area on Hume Road toward Leeds Manor Road.
