Topic: 

A Resolution to Authorize the Settlement of the Erroneous Assessment Claim of Oak Springs Nursing Home.

Topic Description:

Oak Springs Nursing Home challenged its 2002 assessment.  The 2006 general assessment significantly reduced the assessment.  The landowner has agreed to settle the claim by accepting the 2006 value effective for 2002.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Calculation of the total refund amount is not completed but the impact is estimated to be approximately $130,000.

Identify any other Departments, Organizations or Individuals that would be affected by this request:

Treasurer
