A PROCLAMATION HONORING WILBUR BURTON AND MARGARET ANN BURTON FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY WHEREAS, Wilbur Burton joined the Catlett-Calverton-Casanova (CCC) Ruritans on March 1, l977; and WHEREAS, as of May 2008, Wilbur Burton will have served the Ruritans Club and his community for over thirty years; and WHEREAS, Wilbur Burton was an active committee member and served for several years as president and vice-president of the club; and WHEREAS, Wilbur Burton provided leadership in many worthwhile projects through the CCC Ruritans; and WHEREAS, Mr. Burton’s wife, Margaret Ann, was also a leader for many years, providing meals for the Ruritans Club and support of the community; and WHEREAS, Mr. Burton served as the nineteenth representative on the Board of Supervisors from Cedar Run Magisterial District, ensuring support for our way of life and protecting the communities where we live; now, therefore be it PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 8th day of May 2008, That the Board hereby recognizes Mr. and Mrs. Burton for their outstanding contributions to the Catlett-Calverton-Casanova community and the citizens of Fauquier County.
