A Work Session to Discuss Revising the General Operating Fund – Fund Balance Requirement Policy of June 30, 2003

Topic Description:

In July, 2003 the Board of Supervisors approved a resolution adopting a Policy Establishing the Minimum Level of Undesigned, Unreserved Fund Balance for the County’s General Fund.  At the request of the Board of Supervisors, the Acting Finance Director has developed a recommendation to define in greater detail circumstances that may result in the use of Unreserved, Undesigned Fund Balance and a revision to the compliance plan to restore the funds to the minimum level of 10%.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Conduct a work session.
