PROCLAMATION A PROCLAMATION HONORING MARY MCINTIRE ON THE OCCASION OF HER ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTH BIRTHDAY WHEREAS, Mary McIntire was born on July 28, 1904 in DeGraff, Ohio; and WHEREAS Ms. McIntire is the mother of two daughters, the grandmother of three granddaughters, and the great grandmother of 8 great grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Ms. McIntire worked for the federal government for many years in Washington, D.C. at the Weather Bureau; and WHEREAS, she subsequently became a legal secretary for the Reynolds Metal Company in Richmond; and WHEREAS, she was highly valued for her photographic memory in legal research; and WHEREAS, she retired at age 62, at which time she was honored by the Reynolds Company with a cruise to California and Hawaii; and WHEREAS, after her retirement, she traveled to Europe; and WHEREAS, she currently resides in Bealeton and is a member of Saint Stephens Episcopal Church in Catlett; and WHEREAS, her friends, family and church congregation are constantly amazed at her stamina and vitality; and WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors wishes to congratulate Ms. McIntire for her many accomplishments; now, therefore, be it PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 9th day of July 2009 That Ms. Mary McIntire is hereby recognized and honored on the occasion of her 105th birthday on July 28th, 2009.
