Topic: 

A Resolution to Approve Additional Funding for the Purchase of Development Rights on the Frank Ott, Jr. Farm

Topic Description:

On December 13, 2007, the Board of Supervisors approved funding in the amount of $300,000 for the purchase of development rights (PDR) on the Frank Ott, Jr. farm.  Subsequently the landowner had a survey of the farm completed that indicated additional acreage. Subsequently the PDR Program requested that the county zoning office review the number of development rights on the  parcels.  Review by the Zoning Administrator determined that there is one additional development right. This brings the total number of development rights to be sold to eleven.  An additional $30,000 is requested to fund the purchase of the one additional development right.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Frank Ott, Jr. will receive a total of $330,000 for the sale of eleven (11) development righs on 206 acres. $300,000 was previously approved. $30,000 additional is requested.
