A Resolution Directing the County Administrator to Schedule a Public Hearing to Consider an Ordinance to Classify Real Property Owned by Buchanan Hall as Exempt from Real Property Taxation

Topic Description:

In order to facilitate the charitable purposes of Buchanan Hall, the owners have requested that the County designate the property as exempt from real property taxation, as authorized by Section 8-71 of the County Code.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

The property is assessed at $921,600.  The annual taxes on the property are $5,944.32 at the current tax rate.
