Last August, Bull Run Preserve, Inc. was awarded a grant from the American Battlefield Protection Program (ABPP) to organize and develop a Section 106 workshop to educate landowners, government officials and preservation groups about the Section 106 process, how they can actively participate, as well as avoiding common pitfalls in the process. The Piedmont Environmental Council is administering the grant for Bull Run Preserve and entered into a contract with the National Preservation Institute to carry out the workshop.
This will be the first public meeting to receive feedback from the community about issues arising in the region. We will be looking for information regarding historic resources that are at risk in Prince William and Fauquier Counties as well as determining the recurring threats to these resources.
** The Fauquier County ARB serves in an advisory capacity to the County and occasionally completes volunteer research and public education projects at the request of the Department of Community Development. These meetings are open to the public. Please contact Holly Meade for any questions you might have at email@example.com or 540-422-8210.
