The Fauquier Education Farm, a 501c3 organization, was created in 2010. Fauquier Education Farm (FEF) exists to promote agriculture education through best-method demonstrations, mentoring, and  hands-on learning. All food grown on the farm is donated to local food banks.  In 2015, over 18 tons of fresh produce was donated

The Fauquier Education Farm is a learning resource for students, farmers, gardeners and anyone wanting to learn more about how our food is grown.  They offer a broad range of activities to showcase how they are planting, maintaining and harvesting fresh wholesome vegetables while also being good stewards to the land.

The Fauquier Education Farm also plays a unique role in support of The Northern Piedmont Beginning Farmer and Rancher Program.  This is a multi-week course of instruction for folks who are new to, or dreaming of launching a farming business.  It is a Whole Farm Planning course using the curriculum developed by the Virginia Beginning Farmer and Rancher Coalition Program.  The Fauquier Education Farm has partnered with several Agricultural Extension Agents from surrounding counties to present this course and help guide new farmers on their path to becoming professionals.

The Fauquier Education Farm relies heavily on volunteers and donations.  Volunteers assist with planting, harvesting, tending to crops and delivering to local food banks.  Donations help operate the farm, conduct educational programs and serve our community.  Click here for more information.

If you are interested in volunteering or donating contact The Fauquier Education Farm directly.
