Topic: 

  A Resolution to Adopt a Code of Ethics for the Members of the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors and for the Members of All Boards, Committees and Commissions Appointed by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors

Topic Description:

  The Board of Supervisors places high importance on the operation of government in a fair, effective, ethical and open manner.  To help achieve this goal,  a Code of Ethics is recommended that would set a standard of behavior that would apply to the Board of Supervisors, Boards, Committees and Commissions appointed by the Board as well as appointed County staff. The code of ethics will help ensure citizens and businesses that  Fauquier County will conduct its business with integrity.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

  Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
