Topic: 

A Resolution Promoting Energy Efficiency and Environmental Designs

Topic Description:

This resolution allows the Board of Supervisors to pursue appropriate policies and measures for energy efficient and environmentally sensitive designs in County land use decisions. This resolution also provides policy direction for the incorporation of strategic environmental design policies in the update to the Comprehensive Plan, Chapter 2, Environmental and Cultural Resources. That update is in process.    

The Architectural Review Board (ARB) passed a similar resolution on August 1, 2007.  The Planning Commission passed their own Resolution to ensure consistency with Comprehensive Plan goals for the creation of Service Districts.  The Planning Commission approved the attached resolution on October 25, 2007.
