A Resolution Authorizing Supervisor Peter B. Schwartz To Lobby On The County’s Behalf With Regard To Proposed Legislation Related to the Regulation of Farm Wineries

Topic Description:

HB463, which significantly affects the authority of local governments to regulate activity at farm wineries, has been pre-filed and is currently pending in the House of Delegates for the 2008 Virginia General Assembly Session.  In accordance with the County’s adopted Lobbying Policy, this is a resolution authorizing Supervisor Schwartz to lobby on the County’s behalf and promote the County’s interests with regard to this proposed legislation.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
