A Resolution Authorizing the County Administrator to Execute a Lease with Austin Realty Management and Investments, Inc. for the Rental of 2,143 Square Feet of Commercial Space Located at Suite 31, 98 Alexandria Pike, Warrenton, Virginia

Topic Description:

As the administrative aspects of the County’s next general real estate reassessment will begin on June 1, 2009, and there is no viable space available in existing County buildings, this is a resolution to lease commercial space for this purpose.  Staff has determined that the space located at Suite 31, 98 Alexandria Pike, Warrenton, Virginia, is suitable for the functions to be performed and is available at a reasonable rate below market cost.  The County Attorney has reviewed the attached lease and approved it as to form.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

$17.50 per square foot for 2,143 square feet.

$45,003.00 for each year of the lease.

The amount to cover the lease has been included in the FY2009 and FY2010 Budget Submissions.
