RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH THE TOWNS OF WARRENTON, THE PLAINS AND REMINGTON WAVING MUNICIPAL TIPPING FEES AT THE COUNTY SANITARY LANDFILL WHEREAS, the County of Fauquier has previously waived the municipal solid waste tipping fees for the Towns of Warrenton, The Plains and Remington; and WHEREAS, the County’s decision to waive the tipping fees was contingent upon receipt of sufficient commercial and industrial debris tipping fee revenue to offset the waived tipping fees; and WHEREAS, the County is no longer receiving sufficient commercial and industrial debris tipping fee revenue to offset the waived tipping fees; and WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors did not waive the municipal solid waste tipping fees for the Towns of Warrenton, The Plains and Remington for Fiscal Year 2008; and WHEREAS, the current estimated cost for waiving the municipal solid waste tipping fees for the Towns of Warrenton, The Plains and Remington is $225,765; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to reinstitute the waiver of municipal solid waste tipping fees for the Towns of Warrenton, The Plains and Remington; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 10th day of January 2008, That the Board of Supervisors does hereby authorize the County Administrator to execute agreements with the Towns of Warrenton, The Plains and Remington waiving the County’s municipal solid waste tipping fees for the Towns of Warrenton, The Plains and Remington subject to the following terms and conditions:
; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the waived tipping fee revenues for FY 2008 shall be taken from the County’s Reserve for Contingencies. |
