|
Conduct a joint public hearing with the Virginia Department
of Transportation and postpone action until the February 8,
2007 Board meeting. |
|
Transportation Committee Recommendation: |
|
On
October 18, 2005, the Transportation Committee unanimously
recommended approval of the Secondary Road Six-Year Plan and
Budget, as presented in the
draft resolution. Items number
7 (Green Road) and 16 (Dumfries Road) on the Proposed
Priority List have been removed based on the Transportation
Committee’s recommendation. Green Road repairs can be
accomplished with maintenance funds, and the specified
Dumfries Road improvements need additional study to
determine if the project is still warranted.
In
addition, Silver Hill Road (Route 615), Kines Road (Route
692), Fenny Hill Road (Route 816), and Old Culpeper Road
(Route 800) were included in the Plan based on citizen
requests, and are identified as the last four items on the
Priority List. The proposed resolution includes all four
roads. |
