A Resolution to Authorize the Revision of Human Resources Policy 2-H - Holidays

Topic Description:

Policy 2-H, Holidays, of the Fauquier County Human Resources Policy Manual has been revised to remove verbiage precluding part-time, permanent employees from being paid for holidays until the first year of employment has been completed. The policy has also been revised to provide verbiage consistent with practice when a holiday falls on an employee’s scheduled day off.


The revision of Policy 2-H, Holidays, has received the endorsement of the Personnel Committee.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Fiscal impact would be less than $10,000, based on permanent, part-time employees who would be impacted by this revision.
