Topic Description: |

The staff and consultant
reviewed the capacity of the Construction, Demolition and
Debris (CDD) Waste Landfill (Permit #149 the Old Landfill)
and Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Landfill (Permit #575) at a
Board Work Session on December 8, 2005. Staff was directed
to proceed with the planning of a CDD processing operation
to maintain this critical revenue stream which would allow
recycling of 50+ percent of the CDD waste stream.
Staff will review possible
locations that have been identified to be suitable to site a
CDD processing operation at or adjacent to the Corral Farm
facility. A preliminary implementation schedule will be
presented for discussion. See attachments.
Staff will present options
and costs for delivering newspaper to farms.
