A Work Session to Discuss the  Fauquier County "Buy Local" Marketing Campaign

Topic Description:

The Board of Supervisors established as one of their 2004 Priorities, To Create and Implement an Aggressive  "Buy Local" Campaign for Fauquier County. The lead on this priority was assigned to the Department of Economic Development. A preliminary report on the establishment of the "Buy Local" campaign was presented to the Board of Supervisors during the October 14, 2004 Board of Supervisor Work Session. The Board requested a follow up presentation with more specific information and a time-line for the initiation of the campaign. The formal "Buy Local" campaign structure and initiation plan is attached.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Conduct a work session.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

All costs for the "Buy Local" campaign will be absorbed within the Economic Development approved budget.
