PROCLAMATION
A PROCLAMATION TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND HONOR THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF BRONWYN H. LAMBELET TO THE CITIZENS OF FAUQUIER COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, on behalf of all citizens of Fauquier County, wishes to express its deep sense of loss following the passing of Bronwyn H. Lambelet on December 25, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to recognize the many contributions of Bronwyn H. Lambelet to the citizens of Fauquier County; and
WHEREAS, Bronwyn H. Lambelet was elected from Marshall District to the Fauquier County School Board in 1999 and re-elected in 2003; and
WHEREAS, Bronwyn H. Lambelet served as Chairman of the Fauquier County School Board from 2000 to 2001, and from 2003 to 2004; and
WHEREAS, in her capacity as School Board Chairman, Bronwyn H. Lambelet worked tirelessly to encourage educational opportunities and improve facilities for the children of Fauquier County; and
WHEREAS, Bronwyn H. Lambelet served as Director of Marketing and Administration for Learning Tree Farms, which was established in 1996 to provide free educational programs about local history and nature for Fauquier County students; and
WHEREAS, Bronwyn H. Lambelet served as Managing Director of the Fauquier Community Theatre from 1986 to 1988; and
WHEREAS, Bronwyn H. Lambelet coordinated the production of The Nutcracker through Moving Arts, Inc. from 1988 through 1997, providing an opportunity for local children to perform on stage; and
WHEREAS, Bronwyn H. Lambelet provided service to the community by acting as a teacher’s aide and a substitute teacher for many students; and
WHEREAS, Bronwyn H. Lambelet dedicated her time and efforts to a number of worthwhile community causes including the Piedmont Regional Orchestra, Fauquier County’s Promise, the Marshall Business and Residents Association and the Fauquier County Fair; and
WHEREAS, Bronwyn H. Lambelet is survived by her husband, David, and her five children, Mike, Nathan, Jess, Brice and Madeline; and
WHEREAS, the passing of Bronwyn H. Lambelet represents a profound loss to the residents and students of Fauquier County; now, therefore, be it
PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 13th day of January 2005, That the Board of Supervisors, on behalf of all citizens of Fauquier County, extends its deepest gratitude to Bronwyn H. Lambelet and its heartfelt condolences to her family.
