PROCLAMATION

A PROCLAMATION TO RECOGNIZE EARL H. DOUPLE, JR.

FOR HIS OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF FAUQUIER COUNTY

UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS DEPARTURE FROM THE FAUQUIER COUNTY

WATER AND SANITATION AUTHORITY BOARD

            WHEREAS, on February 22, 1994, Earl H. Douple, Jr. was appointed to the Fauquier County Water and Sanitation Authority; and

            WHEREAS, on November 25, 2003, Earl H. Douple, Jr. departed with over nine years of service as a member of the Fauquier County Water and Sanitation Authority; and

WHEREAS, during the course of his tenure, Earl H. Douple, Jr. voted on over 200 Board resolutions; and

WHEREAS, when Earl H. Douple, Jr. began serving on the Board, the Authority had approximately 3,200 customer accounts, and today has over 6,000 accounts; and

WHEREAS, Earl H. Douple, Jr. served two times as the Authority’s Secretary/Treasurer and seven times as the Authority’s Chairman, being the longest tenure as Chairman for any member in the history of the Authority; and

WHEREAS, Earl H. Douple, Jr. is to be highly commended for his professionalism, integrity and dedication; and

            WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to recognize Earl H. Douple, Jr. for his outstanding contributions to the citizens of Fauquier County; now, therefore; be it

            PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 20^th day of January 2004, That Earl H. Douple, Jr. be, and is hereby, recognized and commended for his services to the citizens of Fauquier County; and, be it

            PROCLAIMED FURTHER, That the Board of Supervisors does hereby extend its best wishes to Earl H. Douple, Jr. in all future endeavors.
