Topic:  A RESOLUTION OF AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE AN EASEMENT FOR THE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC LINES AND CABLES UPON THE FUTURE SITE OF THE BEALETON LIBRARY

Topic Description:

Consider public comment on the grant of a 15' wide easement to Dominion Virginia Power on the Bealeton Library parcel in order to permit electric power service to the building.   A resolution has been prepared to authorize the granting of an easement to Dominion Virginia Power in order to permit the location of underground power lines in a 15' wide easement on the property.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Conduct a public hearing required to convey a portion of County property to Dominion Virginia Power and consider adopting a resolution authorizing the County Administrator to the easement.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

There is no cost associated with granting the easement.  Once approved, there will be a cost of $10,600.46 to be paid to Dominion Virginia Power to relocate the existing power lines in the new easement.  Funds are available within the construction project budget for the utility extension.
