Topic Description: |

On January 10, 2005, the
Board of Supervisors held a work session to receive a
presentation on the program facts, process, and benefits of
receiving revenue from insurance companies for providing
pre-hospitalization emergency medical services and ambulance
transports. This work
session is a continuation of those discussions concerning
billing for Emergency Medical Services. |

Requested Action of the
Board of Supervisors:

Conduct a work session. |

Financial Impacts Analysis: |
|
This action may provide a
minimum of $800,000 in revenue, which will increase as
personnel are added to provide 24-hour per day, seven days
per week paramedic services at 3 or 4 locations. |
