A Resolution to Approve a Blanket Surety Agreement for the Vint Hill Economic Development Authority as Surety for the Construction of Infrastructure

Topic Description:

The Vint Hill Economic Development Authority (VHEDA) has requested Fauquier County agree to permit a blanket surety acceptable to the County, in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000) to guarantee the completion of infrastructure construction projects on the Vint Hill site.  The proposed blanket surety agreement also requires the VHEDA to have its construction contractors name the County as an additional insured on all performance bonds for such construction projects, and to send a copy of each such performance bond to the County Engineer.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
