RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE VIRGINIA LAND CONSERVATION FOUNDATION GRANT PROGRAM PROJECT AGREEMENT WHEREAS, on February 19, 2002, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors adopted the Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) Program to acquire conservation easements for the purpose of protecting agriculture, providing open space, and ameliorating the impact of development on the County; and WHEREAS, on October 8, 2008, the Fauquier County Agricultural Development Department submitted an application to the Virginia Land Conservation Foundation for matching funds on the Frank C. Ott PDR project; and WHEREAS, on December 11, 2008, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors adopted a Resolution to approve funding for a Purchase of Development Rights Easement on the Frank C. Ott property; and WHEREAS, on January 7, 2009, the Virginia Land Conservation Foundation awarded $198,400 in matching funds to Fauquier County based on the Frank C. Ott PDR easement application; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 12th day of February 2009, That the County Administrator be, and is hereby, authorized to execute the Virginia Land Conservation Foundation Grant Program Project Agreement.
