WHEREAS, Wesley Edwards has continually worked on and helped establish the farm that is becoming the Brookside subdivision since his arrival on February 16, 1950; and

             WHEREAS, Wesley Edwards has continued to help farm and maintain the very same agricultural operation in Fauquier County for fifty-eight years; and

             WHEREAS, Wesley Edwards, while working for the agricultural business and residing on the property, helped to build and maintain the lakes and preserve and protect the woodlands on the property; and

             WHEREAS, the Brookside subdivision has determined to name Lake Wesley in honor of Mr. Edwards; and

             WHEREAS, the Brookside subdivision has also decided to extend the trails and roads that will access the now-named Lake Wesley, Lake Ashby, Lake Ann and Lake Willow, and the links to Lake Brittle,Vint Hill, and the new elementary and high schools on Route 602; and

             WHEREAS, Wesley Edwards’ dedication serves as a legacy to Edward L. Miller’s commitment to Fauquier County and his vision for Brookside; now, therefore, be it

             PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 14th day of February 2008, That Wesley Edwards be, and is hereby, recognized and honored.
