PROCLAMATION A PROCLAMATION TO RECOGNIZE JOHN LARGENT FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITIZENS OF FAUQUIER COUNTY WHEREAS, in January 1978, John Largent was first employed by the Virginia Department of Health and was responsible for well and sewage permits, restaurants, rabies issues, and general complaints; and WHEREAS, on January 1, 1987, John Largent was promoted to a supervisory position; and WHEREAS, John Largent’s many duties included mediating disagreements between clients and the Department, reviewing permit denials and suspensions, and supervising employees; and WHEREAS, John Largent has served as a liaison to the County Government and is a member of the Technical Review Committee; and WHEREAS, John Largent’s historical knowledge of the environmental issues that have affected Fauquier County is almost unmatched; and WHEREAS, for the past 30 years, John Largent has participated in most County Code changes relative to planning, zoning, and health; and WHEREAS, John Largent has worked tirelessly on behalf of the citizens of Fauquier County, and his level-headed, compassionate approach to the job will be greatly missed; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to commend John Largent for his dedication and service; now, therefore, be it PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 14th day of February 2008, That John Largent be, and is hereby, recognized and commended for his services to the citizens of Fauquier County.
