A Resolution Authorizing the Addition of the Position Title of Airport Manager to the Fauquier County Government Classification and Compensation Plan
Management of the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport was previously contracted to a third party. With the elimination of those contracted services, the duties were assigned to an existing position within the Department of General Services. To date, providing these services through a County employee rather than through contracted services has proven to be a positive change for the Airport. Accordingly, the existing position was evaluated by Springstead, incorporating the expanded duties. Springstead determined that the additional duties were sufficient to necessitate a new job title and grade - Airport Manager, grade 28.
This request has received the endorsement of the Personnel Committee.

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
