RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION TO REQUEST THAT THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT

OF TRANSPORTATION INSTALL "WATCH FOR CHILDREN" SIGNS ON COBBLER MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 731)

            WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Transportation Committee received a request from Clara Owens, resident along Cobbler Mountain Road, for "Watch for Children" signage on Cobber Mountain Road; and

            WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) requires that the Board of Supervisors forward a resolution approving each request for “Watch for Children” signage, so VDOT may accommodate these requests; and

            WHEREAS, at its meeting on January 28, 2004, the Fauquier County Transportation Committee recommended approval of the requested “Watch for Children” signage; now, therefore, be it

            RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 17^th day of February 2004, That the Board of Supervisors does hereby authorize the County’s request for installation and maintenance by VDOT of "Watch for Children" signage on Cobbler Mountain Road.
