Topic:  A Resolution Approving Travel Expenses in Accordance with Travel Policy and Procedures

Topic Description:

Fauquier County’s adopted Personnel Policy Section 51 (“Travel Policy And Procedures”) requires Board of Supervisors’ approval when expenses for travel will exceed $1,000.  The Library Board of Trustees requests approval for the Library Director to attend the Public Library Association (PLA) Bi-Annual Conference in Seattle, Washington, from February 25-28, 2004.  The cost is estimated to be approximately $1,300.  Funds for this expense were approved in the library FY 2004 operating budget.  The attached resolution would approve the requested travel and related expenses.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Funds budgeted as part of the FY 2004 budget process.

Identify any other Departments, Organizations or Individuals that would be affected by this request:
