PROCLAMATION
A PROCLAMATION TO COMMEND TELEPHONE PIONEERS FOR THEIR DONATION TO THE FAUQUIER COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY
WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors recognizes that the citizens of the County possess diverse skills and talents; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to publicly recognize and thank citizens for their generosity in using those special skills and talents in bettering Fauquier County; and
WHEREAS, a group of fourteen dedicated and caring volunteers known as the Telephone Pioneers donated their skill, labor, and materials to install data communications wiring in the new Bealeton branch library; and,
WHEREAS, these Pioneers donated 425 hours to install over 30,000 feet of cable and more than 160 connections to network the library system; and
WHEREAS, the collective donation of time and materials totaling approximately $13,500 allowed the library to spend some of the money budgeted for technology on another aspect of the building project; now, therefore, be it PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 17th day of February 2004, That the following individuals be, and are hereby, commended for their contributions in bringing this great educational and cultural resource to the Fauquier community:
