RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION TO AWARD BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT FOR A PUBLIC SAFETY PAGING SYSTEM

            WHEREAS, Fauquier County is in the process of upgrading public safety communications; and

            WHEREAS, the Fire and Rescue Association has previously identified the need to improve the existing paging system; and

            WHEREAS, a new paging system has been designed and endorsed by the Fire and Rescue Association; and

            WHEREAS, grant funds have been received to supplement funds in the Public Safety Radio System budget for the paging system; now, therefore, be it

            RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 17^th day of February 2004, That bids be, and are hereby, awarded to Motorola in the amount of $151,256 for paging equipment and to Wireless Communications, Inc. in the amount of $137,575 for the installation of the equipment and purchase of Minitor pagers.
