Topic:

A Resolution Appointing the Citizen Planning Committee for the Warrenton Service District

Topic Description:

At its November 17, 2003 final public hearing, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Warrenton Service District element of the Comprehensive Plan.  Supervisor Robison is requesting that a Citizen Planning Committee be appointed for the purpose of reviewing final element revisions that were adopted in 2003, with special focus, for example, on Community Business and Campus Office & Employment land use designations, and recommending revisions for Board of Supervisors’ consideration.  If the Board of Supervisors deems these revisions have merit, it can refer the text amendment to the Planning Commission for the required public hearing process and recommendations.

It is intended that this Citizen Planning Committee complete its review and recommendations in approximately ninety (90) days.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
