Topic   A Resolution to Refer to the Planning Commission for its Consideration an Application for a Special Exception Permit to Construct a Public Utility to Serve the Airport and Adjoining Properties

Fauquier County has been working with representatives of the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport and Ross Industries, Inc. to develop an alternative waste disposal system to replace poor and failed drainfields serving these properties.  A treatment plant and drain field have been designed to accommodate approximately 8,700 gallons per day of waste flows.  The County is the applicant for the sewer treatment system that will be located on County owned property at the Airport.  Development of the utility will allow for existing industry to remain and expand, as well as, support future improvements at the Airport.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors

Consider adoption of attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis

Fees from properties served by the utility will support the sewer utility.
