Topic:    A RESOLUTION TO REQUEST THAT THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION INSTALL TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES AT THE INTERSECTION OF ROUTE 806 (ELK RUN ROAD) AND ROUTE 17 (MARSH ROAD)

On January 29, 2003 , the Transportation Committee voted to recommend approval of the installation of a flashing beacon at the intersection of Route 806 and Route 17 as a traffic calming measure with the condition that VDOT study the effectiveness of this measure.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

There was no financial impact analysis required for this request.  VDOT will fund the installation of the flashing beacon.
