Topic: 

A Work Session to Review Plans for Additional Modular Classrooms for the School Division

Topic Description:

On February 8, 2006, the Board of Supervisors met with the School Board to discuss the size of the new high school, a need for a new elementary school and additional modular classrooms. During the meeting, the School Board indicated approximately $3.4 million would be required for additional new modular classrooms in FY 2007 and FY 2008. 

The Board of Supervisors requested the School Board determine what it could accomplish in reducing the need for new modular classrooms if construction of a new elementary school was approved to begin in FY 2007.

This work session would allow for follow up discussion on this matter.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Conduct a work session.
