A Resolution to Authorize the County Administrator to Establish a Checking Account for Use by the Fauquier County Working Together Committee


Topic Description:

The Fauquier County Working Together Committee currently has a separate checking account at a local bank.  Traditionally, neither the Committee nor its checking account have been compliant with County finances policies nor audited by appropriate governmental entities.  The Committee wishes to become more fully compliant with appropriate County financial procedures and has requested the County Administrator to establish a checking account for its use which can be audited in accordance with County procedure and policy.  This request has been reviewed with both the Countyís Finance Department and the Treasurerís Office which are in agreement with the request.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
