RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT WITH FAIRFAX COUNTY TO TRADE CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION WASTES WHEREAS, Fairfax County generates a significant quantity of mixed construction and demolition wastes presently requiring landfill disposal; and WHEREAS, Fauquier County operates a construction and demolition waste recycling facility that recovers recyclable materials and generates a residue product suitable for Fairfax’s waste-to-energy facility; and WHEREAS, both localities support energy production and the waste management goals to increase recycling and minimize landfill disposal in an efficient and cost-effective manner; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 11th day of March 2010, That the Fauquier County Administrator be, and is hereby, authorized to execute a Waste Trade Agreement with Fairfax County.
