RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT WITH FAIRFAX COUNTY TO TRADE CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION WASTES WHEREAS, Fairfax County generates a significant quantity of mixed construction and demolition wastes presently requiring landfill disposal; and WHEREAS, Fauquier County operates a construction and demolition waste recycling facility that recovers recyclable materials and generates a residue product suitable for Fairfax’ waste-to-energy facility; and WHEREAS, both localities support energy production and the waste management goals to increase recycling and minimize landfill disposal in an efficient and cost-effective manner, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 11th day of March 2010, That the Fauquier County Administrator be, and is hereby authorized to execute a Waste Trade Agreement with Fairfax County.
