Topic: 

A Resolution to Authorize a Contract Addendum with Campbell and Paris Engineers for Assistance with Obstruction Removal at the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport

Topic Description:

In accordance with the Airport Master Plan, work has proceeded to install an instrument landing system at the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport to enhance operations and safety.  The scope of this work is to obtain easements in the Midland area so that obstructions may be removed.  Federal and State funds provide ninety-eight percent (98%) of the cost associated with this effort.  The Airport Committee has reviewed this matter and supports taking actions to meet State and Federal requirements.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Grant funds provide reimbursement of ninety-eight percent of the contract costs for services estimated at $135,733.
