RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION INITIATING AN AMENDMENT TO THE WARRENTON
SERVICE DISTRICT COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
St. Leonard’s Farm, Inc., with 988 acres presently zoned Rural
Agricultural (RA), has current development potential for 49 dwellings; and WHEREAS,
on October 15, 2002, St. Leonard’s Farm, Inc., reached an agreement to
cluster 41 dwellings of this development potential onto 40 of nearly 80
acres of land, shown as area “A” on the map included in the staff
report; and WHEREAS,
St. Leonard’s Farm, Inc., will also convey 65 acres of land, adjacent to
the existing Town Boundary, to the Town of Warrenton for the purpose of
creating a public recreational facility; and WHEREAS,
This agreement depends on the County extending the Warrenton Service
District Boundary and rezoning area “A” to an R-1 zoning district
prior to May 15, 2003; and WHEREAS,
on RESOLVED
by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 17th day of
March 2003, that the Board amend the Comprehensive Plan to allow a
westward extension of the Town Boundary to encompass a park of some 65
acres to the north of Route 211; and be it RESOLVED
FURTHER, That the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors extends the
Warrenton Service District to encompass some 80 acres of land to the west
of the new park, for the purpose of allowing an R-1 cluster of 41
dwellings on half of that acreage; and be it RESOLVED FINALLY, That the Fauquier County
Board of Supervisors permits the extension of public sewer and water lines
from the Town of |
