Topic   A RESOLUTION TO AWARD CONTRACTS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE WARREN GREEN BUILDING AND FOR THE LOWER LEVEL OF THE COUNTY OFFICE BUILDING AT HOSPITAL HILL

On March 10, 2003 , bids were opened for the renovations to the Warren Green Building and on March 12, 2003 bids were opened for improvements to the ground level of the County Office building at Hospital Hill.  The architect is in the process of reviewing the apparent low bidders and contacting references of the low bidders for both of these projects.  It is anticipated that a recommendation to award these contracts will be available by the Board of Supervisors meeting.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis

Funds have previously been appropriated for planning and design services at Warren Green and there is approximately $1,736,000 available in this account to complete the project.  There is an existing appropriation of $175,000 for improvements at Hospital Hill.  There is also an existing appropriation of $1,500,000 that has been made for the final phase of the space improvement program at the Courthouse.
