Topic:      A Resolution in Support of the Designation of Real and Personal Property Owned by Fauquier Heritage & Preservation Foundation, Inc., as Tax Exempt Property

Fauquier Heritage & Preservation Foundation, Inc. is seeking the entry of a resolution by the Board of Supervisors supporting its request to the General Assembly for exemption from taxation of real and personal property owned by the Foundation.   Section 30-19.04 of the Code of Virginia requires that before the Board of Supervisors adopts a resolution in support of or refusing to support the taxation exemption, it hold a public hearing to solicit citizen comment on the proposed request.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Hold a public hearing and consider adopting a resolution supporting the Fauquier Heritage & Preservation Foundation, Inc.'s request that it be considered exempt from taxation.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Annual tax impact $1,918.00
