Description:

|
The
Parks and Recreation Board has prepared a paper on
the Issues/Information/Discussion/Decisions that need to
be addressed in order to initiate planning for this project. The complete document
is enclosed for Board review.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:
|
|
The
four major action items are included in the enclosed resolution
and are outlined below:
·
Recommended that the interest from the distribution principal be
retained for the northern complex
·
Recommended that a Park Manager be hired from the interest
proceeds to assist with management of the project and details
associated with the project.
·
Recommend that the funds remaining in the northern complex CIP
account be distributed to the central and southern complex sites
·
Recommended a set of goals and criteria for the project to guide
planning

Financial Impacts Analysis:
|
|
Retention of
the interest on the distribution for this project requires no
funding from the County but increases the funds available for
this project; likewise the employment of a Park Manager is
recommended from the interest proceeds and therefore requires no
funding from the County; the reallocation of existing funds
likewise requires no additional funding by the County; and the
goals for the project are to guide the project within the funds
allocated
