On March 14, 2002, staff from the
Department of Community Development met with several members of
the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission and citizens to
answer questions arising from the proposed amendments. Any
refinements resulting from this meeting will be presented to the
Board at the work session scheduled for March 18, 2002.
The
Department of Community Development requested the Board’s work
session and any action be postponed until the March 18, 2002
meeting to allow staff additional time to meet with community
groups and Board and Commission members to answer questions.
The Board voted at its February 19, 2002 meeting for a
postponement of its scheduled work session until March 18, 2002
to allow staff more time to meet with those individuals and
staff of the Vint Hill Economic Development Authority and make
any needed refinements to the proposed text amendments.
The Board of Supervisors held a public
hearing on January 22, 2002 to consider the sign amendment
package proposed by the Vint Hill Economic Development
Authority. The
Board had opted to schedule a work session on February 19, 2002
to permit additional examination of the proposed amendments
before taking any final action.
If the Board
wishes to take action, a proposed ordinance for adoption is
attached.
