McCulla, County Attorney Staff Lead & Department Topic A Resolution Authorizing Advertisement of a Public Hearing to Consider Adoption of an Ordinance Approving a Proposed Contract with Virginia Electric and Power Company d/b/a Dominion Virginia Power (hereinafter “Virginia Power”) for the Provision of Electrical Service to the County The proposed electrical services contract with Virginia Power would run for seven years, effective July 1, 2001. The proposed contract was negotiated by the VML/VACo Virginia Power Steering Committee and is intended to replace the previous contract between Virginia Power and localities within Virginia. Attached is a memorandum detailing major areas of change and impact between the proposed contract and the previous contract. Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors Consider
adopting the attached resolution authorizing the County Administrator to
schedule a public hearing. Financial Impacts Analysis None. Identify Any
Other Departments, Organizations or Individuals That Would be Affected
