1.
The CIP Committee and the Planning Commission have
completed their work on the CIP.
Public Hearings have been held by the Planning Commission
and the Board of Supervisors.
The attached resolution to adopt the FY 2004 - 2008 CIP is
provided for the Board of Supervisors consideration.
2.
Changes as part of the Budget process:
a. Monroe Phase
II - $200,850. Reviewed
by the Finance Committee March 18, 2003 and recommended for
current year funding from the Contingency Reserve.
A Public Hearing on this issue will be on April 21, 2003
b. Catlett -
Calverton Water/Sewer Project.
$2,950,000 was added to be borrowed in FY 2005 and FY 2006
for a total of $5,900,000.
In addition, $500,000 is recommended to be appropriated
from the Fund Balance to the project account in the Utility Fund.
A Public Hearing on this use of Fund Balance will be on
April 21, 2003. $1,600,000
is currently available in the Utility Fund for this project.
Total project is $8,000,000.
c. Northern
Sports Complex Swimming Pool.
$732,397 is recommended to be appropriated from Fund
Balance for this project. A
Public Hearing on this issue will be on April 21, 2003.
An additional $665,869 will be transferred from the
Construction Reserve for this $1,398,266 project.
This project is not reflected on the attached chart, as it
will be funded in FY 2003.

A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE
FY 2004 - 2008 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PLAN (CIP)
WHEREAS,
the
Board of Supervisors has established an objective to adopt a Capital
Improvements Plan (CIP) each year as part of the annual budget process
; and
WHEREAS,
the
CIP Advisory Committee and Planning Commission held several developmental
meetings to formulate the recommended CIP
; and
WHEREAS,
both the Planning
Commission and the Board of Supervisors have held respective public
hearings on the recommended CIP; and
WHEREAS,
the Board of Supervisors has also held a work session on the CIP
; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED
by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 25th day of
March 2003, That the attached FY 2004 – 2008 Capital Improvements Plan
be, and is hereby adopted. |
