Fauquier County Extension Office Regarding the “Green” Grass
Program |

Topic Description:
The “Green” Grass project is
a volunteer run program that assists homeowners and county
residents on proper fertilization programs to reduce
non-point pollution sources from contaminating ground and
surface water supplies. This program is designed to educate
county residents on understanding fertilizer recommendation
and proper usage through timing and nutrient
recommendations, spreader calibration, area calculation, and
sod determination factors. This program will also provide
education to retailers on proper lawn and sod nutrient
management recommendations. |
