A Resolution to execute a conservation easement on Approximately Twenty six Acres at Rappahannock Landing
WHEREAS, the County is to receive a parcel of land consisting of approximately 25 acres which was to have been the open space portion of a subdivision entitled “Rappahannock Landing” which was approved with conditions on the 10th of March, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the County previously acquired approximately 1.5 acres of property adjoining the above referenced 25 acres through purchase; and
WHEREAS, conditions of grants associated with the acquisition of these properties requires the County to grant a conservation easement on the property which will guarantee that the property will be perpetually committed to use for public park purposes; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 10h day of April, 2008, That the Board does hereby authorize the County Administrator and the County Attorney to execute the conservation easement attached to the agenda request for this item subject to such amendments as may be deemed appropriate to the County Administrator and County Attorney.
